To help you identify the tell-tales signs of an electrical fault, we at First Strike Electrical and have composed the following guide; after all, there is no harm is safeguarding your health and those who you live with.

Plugs, Switches & Sockets

– Is the plastic broken on the switch or socket, revealing the inner wiring? – Do your plugs feel hot? – Are your sockets fitted into the skirting board rather than the wall? – If you only have one or two electrical points in a room? If you have noticed any of the above it’s important you call in a professional electrician to rectify the problem in a safe and responsible manner.

– Do your lights flicker when you turn them on? – Do you find yourself replacing bulbs on a regular basis? – Do you have wiring hanging from the light fixture? Fuse Box Checklist
