You’re sat watching your favourite TV programme when there is a sudden flicker and the lights go out and you are plunged into complete darkness. So you light a few candles and begin twiddling your thumbs – but what do you do? You can’t go on the internet, you can’t watch the TV and your phone is about to run out of battery – to help you in your moment of crisis we have devised this fun guide which should keep you entertained when you have no electricity.
Play Board Games
Yes, there are other games besides those found on your TV screen. So take this opportunity to rummage through your cupboard and have a search for some board games or even a pack of cards. Monopoly and Cluedo are always fun to play, however there are lots of card games you can decide to play, and you’ll be surprised at how fun they are. Plus it’s a great opportunity to spend time with the family.
Go for Walk, Feed the Ducks or Play a Spot Of Football
This will depend on the time of day you experience the power cut – if it’s in the middle of the day, you can go for a walk, feed the ducks, play a spot of football or go on a shopping spree. Having no power needn’t be a bad thing! It presents the perfect opportunity to do that which you keep pushing back.
Arts & Crafts
Get some old newspaper, card and grab your paints and paintbrushes! It’s easy to be creative when you have nothing else to distract you. You can do anything you want, if you like to draw – draw! If you like to make your own cards – create! If you have children and you want to spend some quality time with them running around, painting your hands and creating a piece of art then do it.
When you have a power cut it’s the perfect opportunity to spend time with your family and have fun. However if you are the only one on your street to have a power cut, make sure you call the team here at First Strike Electrical and we’ll send one of our local electricians in West London to come and assess the situation. Our telephone number is 0203 503 0755.
